Folt Labs is a Vidin-based software studio. We design and build custom software, websites and online stores, and afterwards we stay on as the team that keeps them running, patched and steadily improving — for as long as the work is worth it to you.
Why we exist
Most agencies launch the project and disappear.
A familiar story: a client commissions a website. It launches with a press release and a glass of champagne. Six months later they discover that the contact form has been silently bouncing for three weeks, a critical dependency has an open security advisory, and the agency that built the thing has either dissolved or quoted three thousand euros to look into it.
We started Folt Labs to invert that pattern. Build the thing properly the first time. Stay on afterwards as the team that keeps it healthy for as long as you find that valuable. If the care plan stops earning its monthly fee, you cancel with no notice and we hand over a clean codebase. If it keeps earning, we keep going. The relationship is renewed by results, not by a contract clause.

Saditim Imam
Co-founder, software engineer
Software engineer based in Eindhoven and a Fontys University graduate. Most recently at Agnicio in Rotterdam on a Java-based SaaS platform for enterprise planning teams, after building Vion Food Group's farmer data system at Simptel and a low-code AI configuration platform at Genzai. Comfortable across TypeScript, React, Next.js and Angular — and the modular component systems and CMS-driven interfaces that hold larger codebases together.
Software engineer based in Vidin, with 6+ years of production work across the Netherlands and Bulgaria. Graduated from Fontys University in Eindhoven and returned to Vidin afterwards. Currently at Serpact, Bulgaria's largest SEO agency, after years at Capital Tool Company in Amsterdam and AuxCode in Sofia. Works across Java, C#, PHP, React, JavaScript and SQL — plus the team-lead and client-facing work that goes around it.
We met on day 1 at Fontys University in Eindhoven, both 18 and recently arrived in the Netherlands. For 5 years we kept saying we would start a company together after graduation. After a short stretch of building other people's products, this is that company.
Folt Labs is registered in Bulgaria. We work remotely with clients across Bulgaria and the Netherlands, and travel for engagements where it matters.
What we believe
Six positions we will not negotiate.
Each of these is the conclusion of a lesson already paid for, by us or by a peer we trust. Publishing them in advance saves a wasted intro call on both sides.
01
Templates sold as custom design
Every site we ship is drawn from your brand, your content and the audience you serve. We do not buy a Themeforest theme, swap the logo and present the invoice. When a template is genuinely the right call for a budget or a deadline, we say so on the call and price the work accordingly.
02
Launch-and-disappear engagements
Every build is offered a care plan, and we recommend it. If you would rather not subscribe, you walk away with a documented, monitored, backed-up codebase that any competent team can take over. We will not leave you with a system that only we can keep alive.
03
Sub-floor pricing
We do not win bidding wars against template shops quoting under €500. Our pricing covers real discovery, custom design, production-grade code, monitoring on day one and our name on the result. If that is not the budget, we will say so on the call instead of underbidding and underdelivering.
04
Scope creep mid-engagement
The scope is written and signed before the first invoice. New ideas during the build become a short, priced addendum or roll into the next care-plan cycle. The original commitment does not silently expand.
05
Gambling, adult platforms and covert tracking
We do not build casinos, adult products or surveillance systems that operate without informed consent. Life is short and the work is plentiful elsewhere.
06
Handovers without documentation
Every project ships with a written runbook, an environment checklist, an architecture diagram and a recorded walkthrough of every administrative action. If only one person on either side knows how the system works, the engagement is incomplete and we treat it that way.
How we are set up
Small on purpose.
Registered
Folt Labs EOOD, registered in Vidin, Bulgaria.
Working hours
Central and Eastern European business hours. Most communication runs asynchronously; one scheduled thirty-minute sync per week with each active client.
Team
Small by design. Every engagement has one named primary owner from kickoff, and the same person continues through the care plan afterwards. No handoff to a support team you have never met.
Where we work
Remote by default. We travel for the engagements where it matters, typically discovery week for custom software, multi-location POS rollouts and on-site research.
Languages
We work in English and Bulgarian. Client-facing content, UI copy and documentation can be produced in Dutch or other European languages on request.
Hiring
Not at the moment. When that changes we will post it. We do not run a permanent careers page for the optics.
What we will not do
The work we decline.
We do not build gambling platforms, adult products or covert surveillance systems. We do not enter price wars against template shops, and we do not take engagements where the brief is to launch and walk away. We do not present a templated theme as bespoke design when it is not.
If a brief sits outside the work we can do well, we will say so on the first call and point you at the studio or freelancer better suited to it. The recommendation costs you nothing and saves both sides the wrong engagement.

Thirty minutes. No NDA, no slide deck, no commitment. You describe what you want to ship and we tell you, on the call, whether we are the right studio for it.
